Dave, Do you remember Mike McAvoy? He lived just up St. Louis from MC. Anyway, he’s having surgery for suspected stomach cancer the 28th at the VA in Dallas. We al need to keep him in our prayers. #2. Kenneth Keith’s mom died last week. Anyway the service was last week. Anyone who remembers Kenneth needs to give him a bit of support now too. Todd Rasmussen Retired and loving it

He taught special education with the Collier County School District for 12 years; first out in Immokalee and then at Golden Gate High School until a week before his passing.
Robert was an avid sports fanatic who loved his Arkansas Razorbacks, New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. He loved traveling and sampling the many different cuisines of the many places he visited.

I don't know how well it will work but I've set up a Facebook page for the Class of 1964. You'll need to request to become a member and that way we'll be able to control who can see the site, post pictures and write on the wall.

Hello from the Class of '66. This posting to our site might be of interest to your classmates as well.

Isabel Burton Anthony sends an email announcing the publication of a new book, "Garland County, Arkansas: Our History and Heritage". Isabel is editor-in-chief of the book, a first-time-ever history book that covers the entire county and its communities. It's 700 pages, 15,000 index entries, 20-plus maps, and almost 1,000 photos in a handsome hardbound limited edition. The linen-case bound book sells for $50 plus $10 shipping.
There is a public-invited wine and cheese party, hosted by the HS
Convention Auditorium CEO Steve Arrison, on Friday, Dec.11, from 4-6.
I'll be signing the book. There will be other books for sale and a
few giveaway gifts like pens and book bags. The Garland County
Historical Society and the Melting Pot Genealogical Society have been
working on this book for about 5 years. Call 501.321.2159 to order the book. There is info on the site and a printout form for ordering. PayPal may be an option next week on the site.
The book's 21 chapters tell about the first inhabitants of the area, geological formations, Civil War skirmishes, cultural events, the National Register, all the cemeteries in the county (including directions), hundreds of businesses, dozens of communities, transportation, the economy, hundreds of organizations, about 200 church histories, the national park, and a photo-essay chapter devoted to Bill Clinton (all the Clinton photos were taken in Hot Springs, some never seen before).
The societies are the publishers; all proceeds go to the societies

Jon has put Jack's information in the following area of the class web page ... go to the section for the - List of graduates by current last name or graduation last name.

These lists contain links to mini-web pages containing contact information for our classmates. Click on the letter "V" and then on Jack Voorhies to see the mini-web page.

In checking bad email addresses, I called the number for Jack Voorhies. I talked to Bruce who stated Jack passed away last Monday (don't know if he meant the 23rd or the 30th). I haven't been able to locate an obituary in the San Francisco area newspapers.
